Alison Enright is Director of Therapy Services at St James's Hospital where she leads a multidisciplinary workforce of almost 300 professionals across Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. The team support people throughout their healthcare journey from prevention to treatment, rehabilitation and long-term adjustment and self-management.
An Occupational Therapist with an MSc in Organisational Psychology, Alison has over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare leadership and workforce development. Her particular interests lie in creating positive workplace cultures that empower staff to innovate, collaborate and lead improvement. This focus underpins her approach to leading large scale transformation and improving services for patients and staff.
At the Wellness Summit 2026, Alison will discuss the Rehabilitation Transformation Programme underway across St James’s Hospital and the HSE Dublin and Midlands Region which aims to develop a regional Rehabilitation Framework designed to improve access, outcomes and patient experience for people requiring rehabilitation and recovery services.
